Historical sites relevant to the Kissam family can be found all over Long Island. Family members and local historical
associations all play a part in preserving family history. For example, the Kissam House, 18th century home
of Daniel Whitehead Kissam, is owned by the Huntington Historical Society, which now uses it as an educational site for school
groups and the community.
